The best thing about winter is the feeling of sipping on a cup of hot chocolate wearing your warmest, fuzziest socks…. ORRRR being super excited because it’s cold enough and you can finally wear your booties 😛
Winter accessories like boots, hats, scarves instantly take your outfit a notch up and a great way to even make a basic sweater and jeans outfit look bomb. Here are a few looks using my current favourite winter accessories –
- The Beret
A beret adds such a luxe touch to the outfit and is one of the hottest trends this season. Just add it to any outfit for an instant Parisian touch. I paired the beret with a sweater with fur details on the sleeves and a basic pair of light blue jeans. To complete the look, I wore leopard print ankle length boots which are very pointy and hence amp up the chicness of the entire look. My fading pink hair and nerdy glasses don’t look too bad either 😛
Beret – H&M
Glasses – Forever 21
Sweater – H&M
Boots – from Turkey
Hair – Schwarzkopf
- Thigh-High Boots
For the longest time ever I’ve been wondering how to wear thigh high boots in Mumbai, where honestly it doesn’t get that cold even in winters. The only solution for this would be to pair the boots with a short hemline – say a dress or shorts. Paired these suede sock booties with a fuzzy white dress – which is from Sarojini for only 200 bucks! Isn’t thrift shopping just the best?!!
Dress – Thrifted Sarojini Nagar
Boots – Truffle Collection
Bag – Paprika at Lifestyle
Sunnies – Thrifted Colaba Causeway
- Leather Jacket
I know.. I know.. a jacket isn’t an accessory. But if you’re already wearing something warm and carrying a jacket just for backup if it gets cold later on, it definitely can be used as one. Drape it over your shoulder and your streetstyle game is sure to be on point. Wearing a red turtleneck maxi dress which is super snug and frames my silhouette well. Also popped on the beret for extra chicness.
Dress – Koovs
Shoes – H&M
Jacket – Forever 21
Sunnies – Thrifted Goa
I hope you guys liked the looks from both the Winter Lookbooks. Do let me know which were your favourite looks! Until next time, much love x.
